but-we-persevere är en lyric i Dustland Fairytale av The Killers. Jag hade precis upptäckt The Killers när jag hörde låten, och just den texten satte sig på mitt minne. Än i dag är det min favorit låttext ever. Det betyder väldigt mycket för mig på något sätt. Hela texten går typ "And the decades disappear like sinking ships, but we persevere. God gives us hope, but we still fear what we don't know." För mig innebär det att man ska stå ut alla livets motgångar. Man ska inte ta sitt liv, man ska hålla ut och leva det så gott man kan. Man ska hoppas på det bästa för "god gives us hope", men att vi alla "fear what we don't know" vilket är framtiden. Men det är just då man ska tänka "but we persevere", vi håller ut. Är 100% säker på att jag kommer tatuera in hela den låttexten när jag blir äldre. Vet inte ifall jag ska ha med hela dom där 2 meningarna, eller om jag bara ska ta ordet "persevere" på typ handleden...

De flesta uppnår meningen med livet när de är väldigt gamla, och saken e den att efter att man har uppnått sin mening med livet (t.ex. att hjälpa någon hitta en katt haha idk, kan verkligen vara vad som helst) så känner man att man kan dö lycklig. Alla som har dött har uppfyllt sin mening med livet. Ingen har lämnat oss utan att ha bidragit med något. That's my theory.
